Feedback To Change Idea

Changing our idea:

After receiving feedback from other pupils in our school the feedback we got from a lot of criticism and we have decided to change our idea and film our music video again.

The cristism and feedback we received included:

  • We had too much focus and camera time on our lead singer during the intro.
  • The band wasn't introduced early enough so it didn't look right.
  • There wasn't a wide enough variety of shots and people wanted more.
  • Our lead singer wasn't singing in the studio and it didn't look effective.
  • There were also shots which had an unsteady camera and didn't look professional enough.

Following consultation  of our group, the amount of work required actually involves re-shooting the whole idea, we will now focus on the live performance to sell them as an organic band. We felt that the live footage was the stagnate part of our footage so far and as it is a rock band therefore, we are going to use the new format to launch them as a new live band. We are adding to the organic nature of the artists and selling their star appeal as real musicians that are authentic performers not like a pop synthetic pop band. To give them a feel of a live performance we are going to give them a retro television visual programme and this will help sell them as an authentic band to the audience.

We have been influenced by 'The Beatles', and the Ed Sullivan show and we are going to focus on a live television broadcast to introduce the band.

Our tasks as follows:

Look at live performances of Ed Sullivan Show

We will look at the costumes of bands in the 50s and 60s.

The positioning of bands in a live show rot make it look authentically live.
